TV and MORE!

Sopranos - The Fleshy Part of the Thigh - Tony continues his recovery with an interesting discussion on life, death and metaphysics. I laughed hard when Bobby missed his guy's thigh and shot him in the arse. I like to say arse. It'll be interesting to see where Paulie goes this season, and my guess is that he won't make it through the entire season. Oh, and lets hope for an all-out-war between NY and NJ. It would make for fun TV.

Depserate Housewives - Don't Look at Me - I really liked this show last year, but this year it's starting to wear on me. However, I liked last nights episode because I dislike the Andrew character and like to see his punk-ass get knocked down a peg or two. I think the show's in trouble, however, because the central plot is always lost in the side plots and there really isn't an underlying thread this year that ties the series together.

Grey's Anatomy - The Name of the Game - This show started out on a VERY high note with the knitting. Knitting is really funny, especially when done in a bar by someone who can't knit and a friend who is knitting because the other can't knit. If you saw this episode you'd understand. George is broken but you can see that he's going to start to come back to form now and he's a nice guy. Alex gets to tell off Burke for something he believes in, but this is going to get him in trouble later on in the series, I guarantee it.

CSI:NY - Live or Let Die - I like CSI NY, not as much as Vegas but more than Miami. Yes, it is the same old, same old as the other shows with little invitation. But the characters are solid, Gary Sinise is awesome and the stories are pretty good. Last night had a hijacked helicopter carrying a transplant liver and a weird stalker/phone sex caller girl. Also a nice twist at the end bringing back an old case.

Flip This House - Attack of the Garden Gnomes - This is an older episode that I saw for the first time last night. In this show they take old run and beat down homes, fix 'em up and try to sell them for a profit. Pretty funny episode, especially when the dumpster crashed into Chris' Car. I woke Lace up with my laughter during that part (yeah, she was sleeping on the couch.) It bothers me that a guy who is that bad at keeping track of his money (he had $7,000 in uncashed checks sitting in his car) can make it as a businessman.

Daily Show - 4-3-2006 - YES! This Week in God. Funniest segment the Daily Show has. Ricky Gervais is the guest. I probaby should know who he is, but I don't. He was really funny, though.

MUSIC REVIEWS

Eels - With Strings: Live at Town Hall - Wow is about the first thing I can say about this album. It's excellent. I'm a big Eels fan and this album is a live album of a bunch of his songs, some album some not. With an excellent string arrangement around it. I may have to pick up this DVD as I hear it's available. I'm not sure I really liked the ending of Flyswatter, but it was still kinda cool. If you've never heard the Eels before, I'm not 100% positive that this is the best one to start with, but it might be. I don't know. Anyway, next time you see me, if you actually know me, let me know and I'll play some for you. Oh, you may know him (I say him because the Eels is really only one guy) as the guy who wrote the song My Beloved Monster from the Shrek 2 soundtrack.

Luna - Romantica - This is an older album that I heard for the first time today. It's a very nice album with good vocals and a very indie type sound. I enjoyed it.
