screw it, I'll post when i'm ready.
dl.tv Episode 62 - Talked some about the lawsuit against the Amazon 1-click patent. Also, talked about Urge some more. Showed off the new iRiver mini-player (Clix) and other really small MP3 players. Who cares, but then again, I don't get the iPod Nano either. Hopefully we'll get more flamethrowers next week :)
Crankygeeks - Episode 10 - First story is on the AT&T NSA scandal. I'll leave it at that, if you know me, you know why (probably my thoughts and why I'm not saying anything.) Little bit of talk about Spyware and spam. Hrmm, didn't know a T2 (6.12 mbps line direct to the phone company) existed, I thought they were T1 and T3. Shoulda guessed a T2 existed. This show is really growing on me and I like what they discuss.
This Week in Media - Episode 6 - Everyone's together so it's no Skype today, which is nice. A lot of times the discussion can be better when people aren't trying to talk over themselves, etc. Talks about Hollywood budgets and special effects shots and why movies are so expensive and why it's a problem. I think the guys don't quite get the whole Home Theater revolution, they still think that going to the movies is special. And it still is, sometimes, but if you have an extra room (I don't, YET) you can setup a theater that is better picture and better sound than the local theater with no rude people. And that's where it is :). Best argument I've heard so far to allow movie studios to buy Movie Theaters and run them themselves. One of the best episodes of this series that I've heard so far.
diggnation - Episode 46 - Kevin has a ThinkPad instead of his Apple becasue he got it for testing for free. They also talked about the Blue-Ray scandal that has been debunked already. Oh, they're drinking Heineken Light, which I really disliked when I tried it. Tasted really watered down, but I'm not a light beer fan (Amstel Light is ok, but I want a low-cal beer, I'll drink a Guiness.)
dl.tv - Episdoe 63 - EMI is making money on LEGAL DOWNLOADS!!! Thank god they finally see it. Talked about the crazy guy who thinks he can run his car on water today. But I don't beleive it ;). Wow, coolest dorm-room "Party Mode" EVER!! And a neat intro to the new Vista beta.
Numbers - Rampage - Good episode with Charlie not liking being shot at and realizing what Don needs to go through on a daily basis. I liked the brother bonding at the end, didn't particularly like the Afgan war storyline, but understood why it was there.
Penn & Teller: Bullshit! - This time they tackle ettiquette. Here's the deal, I agree that the one woman was a stuck up, pompus bitch. But Americans, in general, aren't very polite. Here's the deal, don't talk on your cell-phone in a resturant, or at least no louder that you would have with a person at your table and PLEASE turn your ringer off. Oh, and SHUT UP in the movie theaters. Do those two things, and I could care less if you keep your elbows on the table or not.
