Hump Day
Diggnation - Episode 53 - The guys have, of course, been drinking before the show again. Today they're drinking a local micro-brew from Arkansas that someone sent them. I was pretty busy today so it was pretty much just background noise. I laughed a couple of times, but forgot what was funny.
Treasure Hunters - Follow the Drinking Gourd Part 1 - A two parter so no-one gets kicked off. The Foggel Family's daughter is a fricken annoying person, and I can't stand her. The Browns need to get out of this, they're useless as well as the Geniuses (and seriously, who names themself that, even if they are really smart?) I kinda liked the Underground Railroad thing they did, not bad.
Command-N - Episode 52 - Their 1 year anniversary show. I still think that, after a year, they seem almost nervous on camera. I know I couldn't do any better, but I'll only be giving this show one or two more watches before I decide if I want to stay with it or not. I like how they have sources for all of their news which is pretty nice. An interview with David Cronenburger about Andy Warhol and technology in general. They reviewed a weird bean bag chair with audio built in for ipods and other things. Very interesting, but does not look comfy at all. I like the Web Picks segment, it's pretty nice.
Colbert Report - 7/10 - Stephen makes a compelling case that the USA takes co-champion in the World Cup being the only team not to lose to Italy in the tournament. And he flew too many flags last week. Silver Foxes is The Word, since a lot of companies are getting rid of pensions. As Stephen says, the good news is that they're also dropping health care so you won't live long enough to see the pensions anyway. The Special Guest is Amy Sedaris who plays in Strangers with Candy. Worst. Show. Ever. But the interview was pretty funny, especially the tumbleing part.
The Daily Show - 7/11 - Apparently America is no longer in the stage of losing it's innocence, but is now an aging crack whore. Lots of making fun of North Korea, the crazy leader and the good ole' Type-o-dong. Back in Black segment which was very funny. John Dean is the special guest and he wrote a book called Conservatives without Conscience, apparently he doesn't like Conservatives too much.
Colbert Report - 7/11 - Stephen is going to dedicate the show to figuring out what's wrong with America's Kids. The Word is Psychopharma-parenting :). Pretty funny segment where Stephen talks to kids in the audience (by kids, I mean high school and college.) Tony Hawk is the special guest, and I like him. Oh, they changed the set for the interview, much more "cool" and kid-friendly. As Tony says, it looks like Greg Brady's house. Not a bad interview, not much said, though.

They AREN'T really smart!!! That's the problem. In their intro, they're the geniuses because between the three of them they are pursuing 8 majors and one master's degree. Which just means they took a homogeneous set of classes in undergrad. Bah! Go Air Force!
