Back on track
The Colbert Report - 8/3 - Show starts off with an interview with David Cross playing a very undecided Jewish guy, called Russ Leiber, as Stephen defends Mel Gibson. New series called "Meet an Ally" similar to Better Know a District, but this with members of the Coalition of the Willing (a.k.a. C.O.W.) with the Ambassador to Palau who is from New York. Paul Hackett is the special guest, he's running for Congress on an anti-president, anti-war (specifically, THIS war, not all war) platform. He has a bit of credentials, since he's an Iraqi vet. It was actually a pretty funny and good interview.
TWiT - Episode 65, The $60 Million Dollar Man - the panel is Leo, Kevin, Wil Harris, Cory Doctorow and Dvorak. The Web 2.0 poster boy himself, the 60 million dollar man, Kevin Rose is one of the big stories. Also some talk of the AOL firing 5,000 works. The Mac is hacked at Black Hat, but it isn't that big of a deal, I don't think. The web itself turns 15, supposedly. Also some talk about doxpara.com which has a program that traces your routes on the Internet to try to figure out if ISPs are throttling or not. A bunch of talk about writing and how much people who write write every day. Also I like Wil Harris a lot, and it's a shame he's not really invovled too much with the EFF anymore. And I'm an ass, because I should've donated to the EFF by now. It was a low-key TWiT, which was actually pretty good.
Basic Brewing Radio - 8/3 - NHC Coverage 3 - This one covers Advanced Homebrewing Techniques and it was way way over my head. I'l admit that I didn't understand it, and really wished the website had pictures of this "one-dollar homebrew barrel" so I knew what the hell they were talking about.
America's Got Talent - Episodes 11 and 12 - So the jugglers who juggled people got in, that was pretty cool. I'm very eh about the tap dancing fidlers. Sure they're impressive, but I didn't care when I watched them.
