Wow, seems like I watched/listened to a lot today
I tried to post this yesterday, but it wouldn't let me, so you get it early today :)
Flavor of Love - S02E02 - So Flavor Flav continues his quest to find true love on a reality show. He kept the girl who took a shit on his floor. Also, they had this weird thing in this show that they had to pick out what kind of food he'd like from a place where he didn't like anything, that was weird. Overall this show is really stupid, yet I'm still watching because Flav himself is entertaining with his antics.
Diggnation - Episode 58 - Kevin still doesn't have a couch. And he's having a huge problem with his laptop so they went really fast past the beer they were drinking. Some okay news, I liked the video of the girls getting flung from the merry-go-round (as bad of a person as I am for laughing at that.) Alex was pretty drunk and Kevin is a lier :)
Command-N - Episode 57 - I don't like all the graphics in this show. Just seems like too much. A good story about "Web 2.0" which is just crap. The Film Critic is now a "Web 2.0" app, user controlled with AJAX and all that shit. Yeah, doesn't mean anything, does it? And Mike is really paranoid in this show, but I think he has reason to be. A neat product idea which is a "tuneJuice" a 9-volt battery for your ipod. Webpick of the weeks - Amber's is WorkFriendly a neat little proxy that looks like Word (but I think I might have mentioned this before because it was on diggnation and twit, etc) Mike's is a fake name generator.
Craft Beer Radio - Episode 49, 8/7 - They're reviewing wheat beers in this episode, I like wheat beers a lot. They really liked a hoppy wheat beer, which I've never had so I'd like to try it sometime.
Crankygeeks - Episode 22 - Start the show off by talking about the Apple WWDC and Leopard and the Mac Pro. Some people are wondering if Jobs is okay. Then some talk about the guy that got caught for doctoring news photos. Also, apparently some company is firing people via text-messages? I dislike text-messages from friends, I'd be pissed if I got fired by one.
Daily Giz Wiz - Episode 127 8/11 - Leo is singing and he isn't very good. The Digisette is some weird MP3/book player that you used to be able to buy, and apparently it sucked but it would plug right into a tape player.
Daily Giz Wiz - Episode 128 8/14 - Dick reviews a secure card to do logins and it was pretty neat called the PowerLogin.
Daily Giz Wiz - Episode 129 8/15 - Turn the Table Tuesday where Leo has the gadget. This time he's reviewing a gadget that plugs into your computer like a CDROM and after you hook up all the cables, it'll transfer cassette tapes into MP3s.
dl.tv - Episode 84 - A pretty much all viewer questions in this episode. Patrick wants an NSA hat. Lots of good questions and it was a pretty good show.
dl.tv - Episode 85 - They start off by installing Ubuntu live, on air. That's pretty cool, Linux has gotten really easy to install the last few years. It was actually pretty neat. Then they talk a little bit about the WWDC, which was expected. A review of Lego Star Wars 2. And some quick view questions and there is a possible of a widescreen and/or HD show in the nearish future. Also some talk as to where dl.tv and ziff-davis are going which was interesting.
Eureka - Pilot - The Pilot episode was pretty interesting. The premise of this show is that there is a down somewhere undisclosed that houses all of the best and the brightest scientists in the United States. Einstien decendents, Oppenhiemer, etc. The show centers around a new guy (he becomes the sheriff of the town at the end of the pilot, hence the rest of the show) as he learns about the town and tries to fix all of the screwups that the scientists get into. The pilot was pretty good and I'm interested to see where it is going. It might not be that great of a show but the premise will probably keep me watching.
The Daily Show - 8/14 - Funniest part of this show was the photos that were in such bad taste that the audience didn't laugh at all, which made it very uncomfortable. I didn't catch the name of the special guest but he wrote a book called Fiasco, which shows how badly the U.S. botched the whole Iraq war.
Eureka - Many Happy Returns - This is the second episode in the series in which the girl who was killed in the first episode comes back. Looks l like she isn't the person who died, but the person who died is a clone of that person. It's all very weird, but it is still a good premise. The main guy in this show reminds me of Mike Rowe who does the Dirty Jobs show on Discovery. The guy who died also comes back because he didn't actually die, just shifted himself into a different temporal plane by accident.
Eureka - Before I Forget - This was a cool episode because a guy had a zappy thing like in MiB, except he was the only one that knew he had it. I really liked how they explained how he got it too. This show is good for the futuristic technology and the plots aren't terrible, but the chemistry between the characters isn't that great.
Treasure Hunters - Finale part 1 - Goddamn To Be Continued. That's just evil, but all three teams look like they might still have a chance, but the Geniuses are up by a little bit at this point.
