Pretty light day
FLOSS Weekly - Episode 11 - The special guest is Guido van Rossum who created Python (a scripting language) another language that I've never used, and probably should one of these days. In fact, if I wasn't already programming (pretty fluently I might add) in 3 or 4 different languages, I'd maybe check it out and pick it up. Some of the ways it handles things (like strict whitespace formatting) seem really nice.
FLOSS Weekly - Episode 12 - The special guest is Rasmus Lerdorf who created php. I've done some php stuff and the language is good, I like it. But I do more Microsoft based stuff than php stuff, not due tot he language at all, just because that's what my company uses.
Crankygeeks - Episode 23 - Google gives away free WiFi to a city, which is pretty interesting. We'll see what Google is going to do with this in the long run, Google might become an ISP eventually. Fiber to the home is by far the fastes way to get broadband (duh), then cable, then DSL (on average.) And the RIAA still sucks.
dl.tv Episode 87 - There is apparently a campaign to get rid of the caps lock key on the keyboard. I don't use the caps lock key at least not regularly, personally, but I'd be against getting rid of it, for the one or two times I do use it. If you want to move it, I might be for that because I don't use it very often. MySpace is a useful law enforcement tool to track down deadbeats and scumbags, NICE. You're stupid enough to do something stupid AND stupid enough to use MySpace, good thing you get caught. A rather lengthy review of Dead Rising, the first game that makes me want to buy a 360. Robert doesn't like the Quicktime installer (I don't either, because it doesn't matter what you click, Quicktime STILL takes over everything it can.)
Diggnation - Episode 59 - Kevin is wearing a LaLa shirt and he's hoping she's at Alex's b-day party that night. Beers: Kevin is drinking 22oz Sapporo in a can and Alex is drinking a fine 22 oz Tecate in a can. Weird. Good news, though, but they were off topic a lot.
CommandN - Hacking the DS Lite. Dating for Orangutans. It was a weird episode. The web picks were only okay this week, nothing spectacular.
