Fun-packed Friday/Weekend

The Daily Show - 9/13 - The show starts of with some Indecision 2006 talk, with some funny rhymes.  A little making fun of The Governator (which was good.)  Exper-Teaser with John Hodgman and how you can keep your child from getting head-lice.  Guest is the Former Chair of the Republican Party - Ed Gillipse.  Stewart does a good interview and Ed was actually a pretty good guest, even if I might not agree with anything he said.  New segment: The Daily Show "Seat of Heat."

The Colbert Report - 9/13 - Stephen's Baby Eagle has been tracked into Canada so Stephen called him a draft dodger.  That wierd bit where Stephen talks to himself, and then put a gun in each others mouth.  It was weird.  Ken Jennings (jeopardy guy) is the special guest.  The interview was okay.

The Brewing Network - 9/10 - Wow, a very drunken show, with Beer Jeopardy and some good bits.  I'm liking this show the more I listen, SOME good info and lots of funny stuff.

Cranky Geeks - Episode 25 - This is an older episode that I watched/listened to but the news is over two weeks old now :)  And that's an eternity in this business.  I didn't watch the whole thing because I couldn't stand the one guy.

Cranky Geeks - Episode 26 - Dvorak talk some spam, which he apparently doesn't get unless he's talking about how he blocks it.  Also some of the Apple Showtime announcement talk, which is funny to listen to AFTER the actual keynote speech :)  There's a company that requires anyone over 75 to bring a YOUNGER family member to sign up for Internet service.

Cranky Geeps - Episode 27 - Sebastian Rupley is the guest host, as Dvorak is out.  Kevin Rose is one of the special guests.  Om Malik is a guest, I really hate this guy (he's the guy who I stopped watching episode 25 for.)  But i'll watch this one because of Kevin.

The Daily Show - 9/14 - An extremely funny bit where John Oliver relates his trials and tribulations of being an immigrant worker.   And aparently Afgahnistan has more than 30% OVER supply compared to demand of Opium.  Norm McDonald is the special guest (I think he's drunk, but he's still funny.)  He kinda makes fun of Steve Irwin, which sucks but I still laughed.  It was so wrong and I laughed so hard.

The Colbert Report - 9/14 - The actual Hungarian ambassador is on the show about Stephen winning the contest to have the bridge in Hungry named after him.  Of course, he has to be dead for it to actually be named that way, so, umm, I'm guessing that won't happen, but it was still really funny.  Tip of the Hat, Wag of the Finger.  Bill Simmons - ESPN's The Sports Guy is the special guest.

Til Death - Sex for Furniture - The basic premise of this episode was that Joy was told by her new neighbor that you can trade sex to get whatever type of furniture you want.  Eddie turns down sex and then Joy goes and gets it anyway.  My biggest problem with this episode was that I can't imagine two people doing that to one-another, and while the show had some funny parts, I'm not positive that this show will last the whole season or not.

Blade - Monsters - The FBI agent tracks down Blade and goes on a hunt with him and ends up biting it.  Pretty good episode about revenge though and it sets up the season finale well.

Blade - Conclave - The season finale was excellent with a lot of fighting and gun fights and explosion and tons of deaths, which is awesome.  And the ending was really cool and I can't wait to see what they do next season, hopefully it'll be back.

Survivor - I Can Forgive Her But I Don't Have to Because She Screwed With My Chickens - The first episode of the new season, on Cook Island.  They keep saying that it's this big social experiment dividing the tribes along racial lines.  Lets call it what it is, a very very shallow ratings grab, so you want to see what's going on.  I really couldn't care less about the racial tribes, but it seems that it is all anyone talks about with this show.  I can't wait for them to merge into at most 2 tribes and then to one, just so this social experiment goes away.

Flavor of Love - Who Loves New York - Wow, so this girl New York from last season comes back and just is a complete and total drama-queen attention grabber.  And she was really annoying, almost to the point where I turned off the show (oh, and I full admit that I should have.)

Mythbusters - Mega Movie Myth Spectacular 2 - Excellent episode with like 6 different myths that they bust, but apparently an ejection seat in a car is plausible, which was awesome.  And the awning drop from Indiana Jones (and the Temple of Doom) is also plausible as well.

Vanished - We watched the first two episodes of this mystery/drama tonight.  They're trying to do a 24ish setup, where the ending of each show is a little bit of a cliffhanger, but unlike 24, the plot is way way more complicated at this point (at least compared to 24 in the first 3 seasons, I haven't seen 4 and 5 yet.  Not that 24's plot isn't complicated, it gets complicated, but they usually start off a bit less complicated and then keep adding and adding.)  I'm interested to see where this show goes too, but I've read some places that don't think it'll make it through the season.
