Yeah, so updating apparently isn't my thing

It's been way to long. Over half a month.

My defence? I've been pretty busy at work. We had a project that needed about 4 more weeks of work done to it. We got 3, so we had to work pretty hard to get it done. We delivered it yesterday and are now in bug fix mode (custom software ALWAYS has bugs, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.)

Plus there has been other stuff keeping me pretty busy. Ender is always a handful. New pictures are posted, if you're curious: http://www.christophersmith.us/chris/ender/

We took him to the dog park last weekend for the first time. Saturday we kept him on leash because we wanted to see what he would do with the other dogs, and there were only a couple. Sunday before the Eagles game we took him back and let him run with the "big dogs" (he was the smallest there, but he'll be thier size soon) and he had a blast. Best part? Tired him out big time so he slept through the football game :)

Presidential debates are on tonight. All that really means, for me, is that C.S.I. won't be. Could you think of a more pointless way to spend a couple of hours? Yeah, I'll probably watch them, but I'll hate myself for it. Is there anyone in the country who doesn't know who he/she is voting for at this point? We're at a stage that almost all of the people I know, online, friends, family have made up thier minds. You either like Bush or you don't. I don't think this guy likes him http://johnkerryisadouchebagbutimvotingforhimanyway.com. What are they going to say tongiht? It's scripted they know the questions and they know how they'll respond. How cool would it be to have spontanious questions with a moderator that FORCED the politicians to ANSWER the question instead of dancing around? Or even better have Kerry ask Bush questions and vice-versa. Then maybe we'd learn something about the two candidates.

See, I figure if I only update once every other week, I get to ramble on for longer posts. Hopefully I'll remember to post more often and they won't be so rambling.

Not to sound too cliche but ....

ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?

It is so great to have football back on the TV. Even the Phillies attempting to make a wildcard run are no match for the Eagles beating up on a much inferior Giants team.

Two best moments? Trotter leveling the punter (who had NO buisness running downfield like that. You don't pay attention? You get clocked) and the "Welcome to the NFL Eli" hit on Eli Manning by Jerome McDouble. Oh yeah, the win was good too.

Lacey has made a new abreviation. DD no longer means Designated Driver, it means Demon Dog. This is when Ender decides that he isn't going to stay still and isn't going to listen to anyone (hey, he's still a puppy.) We took him to my 'rents last night for the game (I was as shocked as you that I was allowed to) and he was VERY good for the first 3/4 of the game or so. The last quarter, though, he turned into DD and was running all over the place and trying to eat one of my Mom's plants (which she doesn't remember what kind it was so I can't go look to see if it is poisionious or not.) But overall he was very good. And my Mom offered to dog-sit for a couple of hours if we ever needed (*sweet!*)

Haven't blogged in a while

I haven't blogged in a while. But that's okay, since I really have nothing interesting to say. I mean I could bore you with the details that are my life, such as I got 8 hours of sleep for the first time since getting our Puppy last night. We let him sleep in our room instead of the crate and went to bed earlier. He was much happier, even though he did have to go in the middle of the night, but he is only a puppy.

Can't WAIT until Sunday. Eagles baby!! E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES! Should be a good year. Hopefully Andy and McNab will get the ball to T.O. enough so that he doesn't start complaining like he was in San Fran. And the best part of Eagles season is that, at least once a week, I get to eat WINGS. MMM, wings. Except for the bye week. That week sucks.

Phillies suck ass

Pretty much all that is needed for a blog.

Went to the game last night. Awesome park, it is really cool and lots of places to eat and get a beer/soda which is good. And they had good crabfries. But that was about the extent of what was good. Because the team then came on the field.

They're really terrible and have no pitching. They weren't even in the game last night, losing it 7-2. And son-of-a-bitch I was taking a piss when the Phillies scored thier two runs. There were 35,000 people last night. I just wonder how many were like me and bought the tickets back when we hoped the game would mean something. Now that they're 13.5 games back in the division, I think it's pretty safe to say that it was meaningless.

And what pisses me off even more is the organization. They either A. Don't Care or B. Just don't care about the fans. They nickle and dime every decision. Here's a hint: Win in Philly and you will make your money back. It's pretty much that easy. Look at the Eagles.

God I can't wait till Football season.
